Copper Slag uses:
In addition to abrasives, copper slag is also used for making abrasive tools, roofing granules, cutting tools, tiles, glass, road-base construction, railroad ballast, asphalt pavements & in the cement and concrete industries. Copper slag partially replaces aggregates in concrete, currently, more than 75% volume of concrete contains aggregates. The use of copper slag in cement and concrete provides potential environmental as well as economic benefits for all related industries.
Identification
The main characteristic of COPPER SLAG has an hardness of 7 on the Moh’s scale which ensures fast and easy removal of mill scale, rust and old paint coatings from steel and concrete – on steel upto the highest level of cleanliness (Sa3).
