RXSOL Engine Degreaser Alka is a water-based alkaline cleaning and degreasing liquid designed to remove oil, grease, oily deposits, road grime and workshop contamination from suitable automotive engines, mechanical components and industrial equipment.
The formulation combines alkaline cleaning agents, detergents and surfactants to penetrate greasy deposits, loosen adhered contamination and facilitate removal by rinsing with water. Material Compatibility: Safe on metals like steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and cast iron. Not recommended for prolonged contact with painted or plastic surfaces without spot testing.
Identification
- Switch off the engine and allow all surfaces to cool completely.
- Protect electrical connectors, alternators, air intakes, electronic control units and other water-sensitive components.
- Remove loose dust and debris where practical.
- Prepare the required dilution according to the degree of contamination.
- Apply the diluted product by suitable low-pressure spray, brush or cloth.
- Allow approximately 2-5 minutes of contact time as an initial trial, ensuring the product does not dry on the surface.
- Agitate stubborn deposits with a suitable non-abrasive brush.
- Rinse thoroughly with controlled, low-pressure water where appropriate, avoiding direct water jets on electrical components.
- Remove residual moisture and inspect the cleaned surfaces before returning the vehicle to service.
- Remove loose dirt and excess oil where possible.
- Apply the selected product dilution to the contaminated surface.
- Allow sufficient contact time for the cleaner to loosen deposits.
- Use a brush or suitable mechanical agitation if necessary.
- Rinse or wipe away the loosened contamination.
- Dry cleaned ferrous metal components promptly to reduce flash-rust risk.
