Silica gels comes in 3 main types: A, B, and C. Type-A is a narrow pore gel with pore openings of approximately 28 angstroms while B-Type Silica Gel Contains large pores, having a very high capacity at very high humidity and is used for moisture control also. Type B adsorbs water vapor at very high humidity and releases it at very low humidity.
Most Commonly used in Air Dryer, Dehumidifier, liquid absorbent, drier and perfume carrier, also as catalyst carriers, silica sands, etc. TYPE B silicagel Contains large pores and have a high capacity at high humidity this is the reason B type silicagel Used for moisture control and Adsorbs water vapor at high humidity and releases it at low humidity.
